Who We Are, Our Aims and What We Offer

 

Jigsaw Bury is a Bury based registered charity, under which two sub-groups exist: Jigsaw and Jigsaw Link.

 

Jigsaw aims to promote fun, freedom and independence for young disabled people who live within the borough of Bury, to help them overcome social isolation and enjoy an active social life. It does this by offering social outings and sporting activities that usually cater for 13-30 year olds .However, it is possible for those who don’t live in the area and who are aged 13 or over to become an associate member of Jigsaw.

 

Jigsaw Link, on the other hand, aims to cater for older people, usually  50 and over, by organising social outings on a monthly basis and by arranging home visits by a volunteer befriender on a weekly basis through its befriending scheme.
