Down the Rabbit Hole!

Headline NewsSimmondley Primary School Parents’ Association presented a themed ’Alice in Wonderland’ Summer Fair on Friday 26 June, which proved to be an incredible success. Many thanks to everyone who helped out, donated, supported and attended.

A free to enter ’White Rabbit Card Hunt’ was very popular (the answer was KING OF HEARTS) , as were the ’Eat Me’ Chocolate Tombolar and the ’Drink Me’ Bottle Tombola.

The Grand Raffle returned and over a thousand tickets were sold, a full list of the prize winners will be posted on the website later in the week. Early indications show that the Summer Fair made a profit in excess of £2,000, many thanks to Mrs Kimberley for crunching the numbers late into the night!

Alice wasn’t late for the Mad Hatters Tea Party which served hot and cold drinks and plenty of cakes.

Below Jasmine and Erin manned the imaginatively titled ’What’s Left in the PA Cupboard’ stall.

The ’Cheshire Cat’s’ Bric-a-Brac stall also did well with all the remaining children’s book being donated to the school library.

You’e NOT Fired!

Lord Sugar himself, would have been very impressed with the Enterprise stalls each class set up. They practised their entrepreneurial skills where the school gave each class a fixed sum of money and the class used market research, design, manufacturing, marketing and sales skills to make the biggest profit. Each class will now choose what they want to spend their money on. Below are a few pictures of their stalls.
