Spring Term 2016

What a busy start to our new term. Elm children have definitely been busy bees. All have decorated a shoe box which have now transformed into treasure chests for our PHSE sessions. Thank you for the boxes.

During our Art sessions the children have been studying Van Gogh and his amazing sunflowers. Elm have created their own masterpieces!

During Science sessions we have been using magnifying glasses to observe daffodils.

We have a spectacular display based on Florence Nightingale, the children used the medium of charcoal.
We look forward to seeing you at our assembly 29th January at 9-10 am.

Our ticket to Mars!

On Tuesday (13 Oct), Carol Wilson from Glossop fire station came in to talk to all the Year 2 children about fire safety. We learnt about the dangers of matches and lighters as well the importance of having smoke alarms to keep us all safe in our homes.
The children watched a video, asked lots of very interesting questions and now have a much better understanding of fire safety. Thank you to Carol and everyone from the fire safety team!
