The Mixing Bowl Cookery Club

Our final Mixing Bowl session for this year was a great success. The girls worked hard to create some delicious Orange and Sultana Scones. The smell was amazing and made us feel very Christmassy. At the end of the session we were joined by some very eager food testers who enjoyed their scones with clotted cream and jam.

Look out for a letter for the next group. New members are welcome, and boys...that includes you!

The Mixing Bowl have had a busy few weeks. So far they have created Baked Apples, Fruit Kebabs, Rainbow Couscous, Pizza Pin Wheels and Spicy Jewelled Rice. The girls have cooked up their masterpieces and surprised their families with enjoyable easy to cook food.

There is no session this week (Thursday 1 December) due to Y4/3 Christmas concert but they will be back next week for their grand finale.

Next term will be open to new members (boys that includes you) so if you think you would like to join us keep an eye out for a letter after Christmas.

The Mixing Bowl Cookery Club had its first session on Thursday 3rd November. Seven excited children worked with Mrs Hunter and had a great time learning how to wash, cut and create two fabulous treats. On the menu was baked apple with sultanas and cinnamon, followed by some yummy fruit kebabs.
